The Ebrington Village Hall committee has been busy! We surveyed our residents to ask what events they would like to see – the list was lengthy and as well as including the obvious attractions of food and drink we recently hosted a well-attended free car maintenance session (just how do you open the bonnet?!) with thanks to Lewis Homans for volunteering and a free CPR and defibrillator workshop, with suitable props of course run by our very own PC Nicola Stubbs.
We continue to host regular meetings at the hall for our hugely popular Gardening Club, our WI and of course our regular coffee morning to welcome old and new residents on the last Saturday of the month.
Hatha Yoga with Kate Duke is now a regular Thursday morning feature and Chair yoga has places available.
We have an autumn programme of events which includes a visit from the popular digibus team which helps people to improve skills and confidence using digital technology (free, Friday 28th October), all are welcome, to book through us or directly through https://yourdigibus.com/timetable/
Ghost Stories with Supper suitable for ages 7 + from Caramba Theatre Company (7.30 pm 29th October) booking essential, autumn wreath making with Lisa Drinkwater (morning and afternoon Sunday 30th October), a free talk by Andy Warren on our local birds and bats (6 pm 2nd November), wine tasting from the Loire Valley (17th November), booking essential, £15 a ticket and a Christmas sale on 19th November 12 – 3 pm.
We are delighted that Margaret Fisher and Pearl Mitchell will be presenting Through the Lens – Ebrington Remembered at 7 pm on Friday 18th and 25th November and 2nd December. Come to one or all three, they’re all different. Pay £4 on the door.
